• Question: why does collapsing a bubble underwater create light?

      This is an interesting question! I know it happens, I think only when you collapse the bubble with a sound wave but I have to admit I’m not 100% sure on the why! I’ll let someone else who probably has better knowledge than me give a better answer!

      As far as I know, the thermal energy from the bubbles collapse is what causes the light to be emitted… but like Eleanor, I’m not entirely certain on the whole process!
