One of my biggest struggles is trusting myself and my ability. I’m constantly worried that I’m going to let someone down because I’m not good enough to be doing a phd! However, I’m learning to accept that I wouldn’t be doing this if I wasn’t good enough and that I should continue to push myself! It’s not always easy, but I work on it everyday by reiterating to myself all the things I have achieved up to now and how well things are going at the moment!

In physics these days, you need to do a lot of programming. That’s where I struggle, because I’ve never followed any formal course in programming, and learned everything on the go. I therefore lack some very basic knowledge sometimes, and I’m probably doing most of the things in a very ineffective way. I’m trying to code more and learn from those that are much better in it than I am 🙂
