The thing that first got me interested in particles was when I heard about the discovery of the Higgs boson, whilst I was in sixth form. This was such a huge result in the world of particle physics and from then on I was fascinated by how it all works. I visited CERN in sixth form as well and learnt about the machine and how it works and I knew then that was my dream!
