• Question: Why are some genomes immune to certain pathogens, for example COVID-19 doesn't affect cats and dogs, or mosquitoes that are vectors of malaria but aren't affected by the disease?

      This is a super interesting question, but one I don’t know the answer to I’m afraid. This is definitely something to ask of a biologist or virologist I think, because as a physicist I don’t really understand the science behind all of this.
